What Does It Take To Become A Mind Reader?

Can a mind reader accurately read the mind of another person? The answer to this question depends on how you understand and interpret this question. It was once said that no one can read the mind of a man even the devil knoweth not the thoughts of a man. Devil in this statement means your spiritual leader and man denotes the female as well as the female gender. What goes on or is going on in the mind of a person is always difficult to ascertain accurately.

Even the mind reader experts and researchers only attempt to the read the mind of a person through the actions, emotions, expressions, behavior and even facial expressions of that person. In essence it is not reading the mind but relying on other factors to predict what a person may be thinking about. The following are some of the methods in which mind readers apply to ascertain what a person may be thinking about; note the words here, 'may be thinking' but not 'thinking' about. All minding reading techniques are faced by challenges and limitations and require super mind power to read the mind of a person accurately.

By looking at the movement of lips when one is deeply thinking about something, you can ascertain what one is thinking about. The only difficulty here is that you are required to observe the movement of the lips when the person is not aware that you are doing so and this is easy. Movement of lips is a reflex action and most people are not aware that they move their lips when deeply thinking about something and this can show their emotions, thoughts and feelings at the moment. Most people move their lips when talking and this may not however indicate thinking, it sig god that you consider the surrounding circumstances when you want to ascertain the thinking of a person from its movement of lips.

The color and movement of the eyes coupled with facial expression may also give you a clue on what one is feeling or thinking at that moment. Red eyes are an indicator of anger and frustration while bight wide open eyes may signify anxiety or fear depending on the circumstances. There is a theory (or is it a myth?) that the pupils in the eyes of a human being when someone sees something which he or she likes or is in high desire of something. Proponents of this theory believe that one a person of an opposite sex approaches another and his or pupils get larger, that is a show of love.

It is very simple to become a mind reader by listening to people's thoughts, opinions and believes because people talk mostly on what is in their minds. Secondly, look at the movement of the eyes; people who are interested in what you are saying usually give you a direct close eye contact. Those disinterested in you or whatever you are talking about may look away or look sleepy. Movement of the eyes is mostly coupled with facial expressions and it is a good indicator of the thoughts of a person as stated above.

The Secret To Achieving Control Over Body And Mind Effortlessly

Control over body and mind is achieved by the use of subliminal perception. This is a state where stimulus gets passed through human mind with an aim of influencing results, feelings, thoughts and behaviors. This stimulus is mostly passed through the subconscious mind. The stimuli might be weak but it affects people and ends up causing a change in behavior. This is done with an aim of getting control over body and the mind.

In earlier times, people were provided with numerical figures, letters and digits. When this strategy was used, a part of the information was presented to individuals and it is only some faint sound that was played. The people who went through the process then had to answer whether they heard any sound. They would say that they did not hear anything. If they were asked to take a guess about what they probably heard, most guessed the sound that was played.

These days, subliminal techniques get used in an effort to influence the buying habits of various companies. Research has indicated that when visual and audio messages are played it influences the people to buy certain products. This happens even in the places where people are not concentrating. There are increased sales when an advert is played or printed as it stimulates the customers to go and buy the product.

This is achieved by adding a statement that persuades the mind to the other sentences. The reason for using the statement is a strategy for convincing the customers as it has control over body and mind. There are some companies that produce self help compact discs and tapes to help their clients. This n is for those who have addiction and have unsuccessfully tried to change. An example is those people who have tried to quit smoking but they have not been able to stop the habit.

The smoking addicts listen to the tapes to get the messages that persuade the mind to liberate itself from the habit. If the tapes are used regularly, they influence change and also development of other unique skills. The people who are aiming to lose their weight can also use the tapes to urge themselves on. This helps them to stick to certain programs especially for those who are dieting.

This method has also the people who are working towards reduction of stress, developing skills in sports and increasing the speed of memory. Subliminal messages are helpful when played to the individuals who are suffering from effects of depression or stress. The shortcoming of this method is that there have been cases of victims who listened to music and instead of recovering, their condition became worse.

There have been some instances where people committed suicide after being urged on by words in the music. Some phrases like "just do it" pushed the victims to proceed with their action. That is why it important to find good therapy on self development so as to achieve control over body and mind without making you condition worse.

Brain Training Games - Exercise Your Way To A Better Brain

Your brain, just like any other part of your body requires brain training games. The brain learns and grows by interacting with the world through perception and action. Constantly exercising your brain stimulates it and actually protects it from redundancy and memory loss. The human brain has the capability to adapt to new things and rewire itself regardless of age. Though one's may brain suffer a serious decline from a disease attack, most memory loss is as a result of inactivity, that is, lack of mental exercise and stimulation.

There are a wide range of exercises that you can do to stimulate your brain. Some of them you can easily incorporate them in your daily routine for example try dressing with your eyes closed, you could decide not to do any talking during dinner but to only use only visual signs to communicate. You can also move away from routine things and do something differently in a way that it will challenge your brain e. g. use your left hand to write, eat, or just take a new route to work.

Multi-tasking is also another great way to challenge and stimulate your brain. Do two things that involve different senses at the same time. You can try reading and smelling some flowers at the same time.

Other brain exercises require you to make a conscious effort band incorporate them in your daily routine. The modern life is quite sedentary compared to the past. Today walking is considered as a form of exercise yet in the past it was a means of transport. You probably take time to do some physical exercise for your general health but now you have a more reason to work the tread mills. You probably have at one time or another said you are taking a walk to clear your mind. Walking, which many consider as a lazy form of exercise, is actually quite good for your brain as it increases blood circulation, breathing rate and even your heart beat hence more blood flows in the brain, which in turn allows more energy production and waste removal.

Another easy exercise that you can make a daily routine is to move your toes for several times before you get up in the morning. You can stretch, writhe or just wiggle them in whatever way that is comfortable for you. This exercise helps you wake up and be alert as it triggers the nerves that stimulate your brain and other internal organs.

Of all the brain training games you cannot ignore the power of reading. Reading is known to challenge the brain and keep it alert. It may not necessarily be the traditional reading of a book but you could also engage your mind in solving puzzles, brain teasers, and logic problems. Most of them will keep you entertained and also help you to improve your brain and also increase you creativity. The power to improve your brain is in your hands and you must exercise it if you are to become a better person. Age is not a factor it is never too late to start; your brain can grow new neurons at whatever age.

Why Mind Control Programming Is Not What You Think

Mind control programming is something that can now be done. This brought the days when people had no power over their mind to an end. Everyone is now empowered to reset their minds and even make like they had no problems before. A mind control program is a reality that all people should strive to know about. Brainwave entrainment is one of the popular ways that are used to reprogram a mind. There are various problems that affect the mind and make programming easier.

One of the problems that affect the mind is addiction. It is among the dangerous problems as it can affect all people no matter who they are. Some of things that people are addicted to are drugs, drinking, smoking and eating among others. The addiction becomes entrenched as it happens in the subconscious form. Another problem is the presence of fears and phobias.

These are rooted to the brain by events that make a person to be extremely stressed. They are also caused by events that happened when a person was growling up and the inner mind was still in the learning process. There is also a large number of people who have emotional injuries and scarring. This is caused by trauma and the problem that is more frightening is the clinical depression. The main cause of all these problems is when subconscious mind associates itself with these elements.

This makes them to be a part of psychological and even physiological bodily functions. This is why mind control programming is essential in rooting out of the deeply entrenched disorders. Those who are addicted feel happy when they take their favorite substance. Those who had a nasty encounter with something fear when they see it. Those who are depressed replay the offending events in their minds and this forms a portion of the degenerative process.

These problems may seem to be different but it is the sub conscious that makes them to continue existing. The problems are not going to end on their own. There are those who are willing to change the situation but they cannot as they have not conquered the sub conscious part of their mind. These problems are cycled over the mind repeatedly and the sub conscious that has total control over the over the brain aspects, it ends up controlling the emotions. It also controls the functions that are carried out by the body.

This is the reason why a mind reprogram is necessary. It can be done using brainwave entrainment or other technologies. This can be done successfully and make the people who are undergoing the problems that are entrenched in their minds to be transformed. When entrainment technology is used, it is possible to reach the depths of subconscious mind. When this is achieved, it will be possible to place own messages that are positive into sub conscious part of the mind. This mind controlling programming will help in eliminating the phobias and addictions that affect the mind.

Treating Adult ADD Without Medication

When you get first diagnoses with Adult ADD, your doctor may offer to medicate you to control your Adult ADD, but there are a bunch of reasons that you might want to decline medication and control your ADD with alternate methods. For instance, you may not want to deal with the side effects of the medication, or you may not want to pay for the medication. Whatever your reason, you should know that controlling your ADD without medication is completely doable. It may take a bit of work and practice, but you should be able to get as much done as someone without Adult ADD.

Understanding Your Mind

The first thing you must do is to learn about how your ADD brain works. There is a common misconception that the ADD brain can't focus without the help of medication, but this is in fact not true. What is true is that the ADD brain can't focus on things where there is not genuine interest or motivation to focus. To prove this, check out the game World of Warcraft. This game is played by millions of people, many of which have Adult ADD. These people will spend hours glued to their computer, focusing intently on the game. There is no focus problem there.

For those of you who don't play Warcraft or another online role-playing game, try to think of something that you do focus well on now that needs active participation to do (tv doesn't count). For example, do you read novels or do crosswords? Do you like sudoku? Can you sit for hours working on a craft? If you do, I bet you can focus well on these tasks.

How To Focus

The key to focusing without medication is to try to shape your real work to have some of the same motivation factors as these games or activities. These include:

Make each work session consist of short well-defined tasks. Breaking down tasks can make them more approachable.Give yourself rewards for completing your tasksMake sure that you track your tasks. It can be very powerful to keep a bar graph of percent complete.Be sure that you have your work well planned out. This reduces the barrier to entry of starting on a taskMake sure you are actually motivated to complete the task. If you really have zero motivation to do something you are going to have a really hard time completing it.

Using tips like these and a little bit of practice, you can control your Adult ADD without the hassle and potential side-effects that come along with medication.

Dealing With ADD or ADHD in College

College is a big step in anyone's life, but for those with ADD or ADHD, it can be an even bigger struggle than it is for the person without ADD. College requires you to work diligently on your work so that you are able to complete all of the assignments and thoroughly learn the material so that you can get a good grade in the course. If you have trouble doing this, college can be a real challenge. I would like to share with you some of the tips that I used while in college to control my ADD and get my work finished.

Plan Plan Plan - I think the most important thing that you could do is to plan. At the beginning of the semester, make a list of what is due in all of your classes for each week of the semester. Then add in milestones that you will need to reach to reach your due dates, such as studying a particular chapter or writing the first draft of your paper. Then plan out each week with what you are going to do each day to reach you needed milestones of the week.

Eat well - Your mind needs fuel in order to concentrate effectively. It is very important that you eat good nutritious food and not live on soda and junk food. If you have access to a servery or school cafeteria, use it. They will make good food for you so you don't have think about it.

Get Some Sleep - Despite the fact that it is really fun to stay up all of the time, either getting some extra hours of studying or just having some fun, be sure that you get a decent amount of sleep. Your ADD will be much worse if you must function of too little sleep, which causes those extra hours of study to actually decrease to total hours of concentrated study.

Remember why you are there - When you are pushing hard to try to finish up for a paper in a class that you are not even that interested in, it is easy to lose track of why you are there. But remember that college will have a positive effect on your life long after you graduate. It will help you get a good job and reach your goals in life. Keeping this in mind will help keep you motivated and the motivation will help you focus.

I hope these tips can help you focus and succeed in college with ADD. With diligent effort, even someone with the worst ADD can be successful and graduate with high marks.

How to Rewire Your Subconscious Mind For Weight Loss

Did you know that there are many ways you can target and change your inner beliefs and habits about weight loss without paying outrageous fees to a physiologist? One of the best and easiest ways is through your subconscious mind. One particular method which is growing in popularity and gaining research to back it up is the use of subliminal messages done via audio while you sleep.

Subliminal audio may seem a little mysterious, but the idea is really quite simple and I'm sure you can remember an example of it happening to you and you might have not even realized it. Have you ever woke up and had a song stuck in your head all day long? You then realized later, that it was the song that woke you up from your sleep that was playing on the radio alarm!

That is the basic idea of having your thoughts steered towards a certain direction by hearing subliminal messages in an altered state. In this case sleep is the altered state.

Now how this can help you lose weight.

What if instead of everything being a mistake, like what is playing on the radio, you take subliminal messages you want to become part of who you are, and play them to have the same effect on purpose?

The same thing. You have these subliminal messages as part of who you are and they pop up when you have a decision to make. Decisions such as "Should I eat this or that?". When this sort of situation comes around, you pick the one that is a part of who you are at a deep level.

So how does the actual weight loss subliminal messages work?

These subliminal messages are recorded with the volume and pitch changed so you can't actually hear the suggestions consciously. Even though you cannot hear them directly, your subconscious mind still picks up on them and treats them the same as normal messages received.

Because the conscious mind does not register them, they pass the negative self talk and filters and you rewire your subconscious with these subliminal messages from the inside out. It's just like saying positive messages to yourself or getting hypnotized except you can do it passively as you go to sleep.

The particular audio I used has a wave sounding background that really helps you get to sleep fast. I used it for several months last year and experienced some really outstanding changes in my body and outlook on food and lifestyle.

Actually, it was shortly after that I became vegetarian and focused more on health, leanness, flexibility and performance over bodybuilding.

Now to be honest, I find the science and the studies regarding the power of the subliminal messages such as the weight loss audios to be supportive but not the "end all be all" of proof. I mean, we all know positive study results can be doctored.

Having said that, I think that the worse case scenario of having a soothing wave audio playing as you go to sleep with inaudible positive subliminal messages about weight loss will at least help you sleep well.

Infatuation and Its Impact

It is, indeed, very interesting and intriguing to understand, evaluate and analyse infatuation and its impact. It is also a matter of great concern to observe the circumstances in which it is affecting the people, especially the very young children. The factors which stimulate these bliss feelings among children can be very insignificant for those who are influencing the children. However, these same factors can be profoundly influencing the children. Thus the net result is the disturbed mind of the recipient. The observer will notice these telltale effects but ignores it on the pretext of being his or her innocence and immaturity. It gets little serious when the victim exposes unequivocally his feelings and adopts ways and means to achieve the desired results. At this stage, it is, now, obligatory for probe about infatuation and its impact.

Dana Peach, the authoritative matchmaker has enumerated different phases of infatuation:

A. Phase 1: Stricken (A magic moment)

B. Intrusive thinking (A passionate desire)

C. Idealisation (The erotic sizzle)

D. Emotional - Roller coaster (Emotional dynamics)

The meaning and definition of infatuation reveal that it is a foolish and usually extravagant passion or love or admiration. Although it fits appropriately when it relates to very young children, yet it differs when adolescents are involved. The very young gets influenced by the charm of the individual in terms of his or her personality, attitude, conduct and character. On the other hand, the adolescent gets vicariously attached to the person concerned in a lust oriented manner. This particular situation requires more attention and careful handling of the situation rather than adopting stern measures. Here, the role of perception plays an important part with regard execution of his or her action. The result of reflection of initial input, followed by perception of thought is paving the way to infatuation. The effects of infatuation are generally inconclusive, yet it has its own charm.

Analysing the factors influencing infatuation will go a long way in managing the affected people. Scientifically speaking an amphetamine like chemical called phenylethylamine (PEA) is activated, when an individual begins to feel attracted to someone. Diane Ackerman, author of 'The Nature of Love and A Natural History of the Senses', describes PEA as a "molecule that speeds up the flow of information between nerve cells". Substantiating the PEA phenomena, The New York State Psychiatric Institute claims to have discovered that PEA has a tendency to pave the way for that peculiar contemporary disorder, 'The Relationship Addiction'.

Infatuation, by itself, will not accomplish the inner burning desire. It is a momentarily input stimulating the urge to acquire and fulfil one's desires. The limit of its expansion is again subjective. It is depending on the interaction, involvement and prevailing circumstances influencing the individual. It eventually leads to short term frustration and depression. However, it remained as a bliss feeling for many years.

Deep Brain Stimulation - Your Solution To Every Affliction Imaginable

Deep brain stimulation is simply called DBS. This is a surgical procedure which involves implanting a device that is known as brain pacemaker to the brain. A brain pacemaker sends signals to certain parts of brain. It commands them to respond in a certain way to specific situations. The signals are programmed in brain pacemaker. This technique has a high success rate in helping to control the disorders that are resistant to treatment. Some of the disorders that are treated using DBS are dystonia, tremor and Parkinson's disease.

Patients who undergo this surgery procedure have benefited. It is also used in the easing of depression and also chronic pain. DBS is among the great medical leaps that have contributed to general wellness of the patients who undergo the procedure. There are those people who fear that operation cannot be reversed like in the case of lesions. This should not be a cause of worry as DBS operation is reversible.

DBS has several benefits but the most outstanding thing is that it successfully eases severe depression symptoms and also Parkinson making the patients to be relieved. Another benefit with DBS is that its electrical stimulation can be adjusted unlike that of other kinds of operation. When the patient begins to respond to the effects of DBS, the electrical stimulation can be adjusted. This eliminates the need to repeat the surgical operation.

In case other kinds of infections affect the brain Deep brain stimulation will not prevent with other types of surgical operations from being done. It can be simply turned off as it operated using a brain. This is impossible if the patient had undergone other type of surgery procedure like pallidotomy. Recently, DBS has become a favorite of many because of the many advantages that it offers.

The benefits of the operation are not restricted to mechanical side. There are other medical benefits that the patients who have undergone DBS operation enjoy. Among those who benefit from DBS are those have movement disorders. Those who have severe depression can benefit to a certain extent when they undergo this procedure.

The reason why the operation has to be done and the way an operation is done differs between individuals.

It is up to the experts to make the right decision for the case. In many cases the people who have undergone other medications without success are urged to try DBS. In many instances, the operation is performed on those who have used other types of medications but their condition remained stubborn. The DBS experts usually work in collaboration with the patient. They set the operations of the stimulator within parameters that provide maximum performance.

Currently, DBS is hailed for being a last resort for those who disorders that make it hard to move. One disease that has remained stubborn is Parkinson's disease. It can either respond to treatment or become stubborn in some individuals. There are instances where medication fails resulting stiff posture but deep brain stimulation can be used to offer relief.

Mind and Consciousness - How to Increase Your Level of Awareness

Are you fully aware of who you really are? Are you aware of your full potential? Are you aware of what your real nature is? Chances are that you're not, and if you're not, you're living a life that's limited and full of hardships.

If you expand your mind and consciousness, however, you'll start to realize your true nature and become more aware, so...

How to Increase Your Level of Awareness?

There's always a choice in your life, no matter what you do. When you make a choice, your awareness either gets contracted or expands, and that expansion will make you very powerful.

We've been conditioned to think we're limited in what we do, how we think and how we perceive the world. Our experiences shaped us into who we are, how we react and what we consider to be important.

Here's an Example

Let's say you were born in a poor family that never had enough to eat, you had to wear clothes that were torn, you barely got enough schooling, and you saw wealthy people around that not only had everything they wanted, but they also got away with things that were not necessarily good.

Now, due to the fact you are poor, your father is poor, your mother is poor, your aunts and uncles barely make ends meet, you're going to automatically assume that money is hard to come by, and because you saw bad people paying money and getting away with their crimes, you might even think that money is bad.

The truth is different, though.

There is plenty of money in the world, and what's more, money is neither good nor bad. It's just a tool you can use to do good or evil, just like any other tool in the world. You can help, or harm people with it.

Of course, to change how you feel about money, or anything else for that matter, to remove your limiting beliefs, you have to move beyond what life has taught you.

You know what I mean? You have to remove those limiting beliefs by working with your mind and consciousness in order to be able to really understand who you are, and what the world around you really is.

So, how do you do that?

Don't assume you know the best.

This is one of the first things you have to keep in mind, if you really are to change your life and get rid of your limiting belief. You have to get rid of your pride, forget what you think you know, and focus on noticing how things really are.

Your mistakes are your friends

People say mistakes are bad, but they really are neutral, neither good nor bad. They are just there for you to either learn from them or not. If you learn from a mistake and become a better person through that, do you really think that mistake was a bad thing? That's what I thought!

Stop defending your own views.

This goes back to what we've talked about previously. If you defend what you believe in, you'll blind yourself to how things really are, so... stop!

Expanding your mind and consciousness is not a complicated thing to do and if you utilize the tips I've shared with you, you'll do just fine!

Subconscious Mind Control Can Help You Achieve All Your Goals

Everybody has dreams or goals that they would like to achieve, but the problem lies in the fact that many people think that they cannot achieve them. What these people don't realize is that by assuming they will not be able to achieve their dreams or goals they are setting themselves up for failure. If you tell yourself often enough that something isn't possible you will eventually start to believe it. Through subconscious mind control, you can easily start turning your dreams into reality; you just have to start believing in yourself.

Here are the steps you will need to take to use subconscious mind control to achieve your goals.

Step One: Writing

The first thing that you need to practice is a type of writing called "stream of consciousness". This writing is very helpful when tapping into your subconscious mind because you are doing it purely on instinct. To use this method you will need to grab a piece of paper and a pencil and sit down inside of a quiet room. Once you have gotten settled start writing whatever comes to your mind for a period of about ten minutes. The one thing you want to avoid doing is censoring your writing. Don't worry about how weird or strange something might sound or if it even makes sense or not, simply write everything down as it pops into your head. The more you do this the easier it will become, so don't give up.

Step Two: Meditation

Many people don't realize just how important mediation is to tapping into the subconscious, but it must be done correctly. Meditation truly allows you to relax your mind and body so that your conscious mind doesn't try to interfere in what you are doing or thinking. There are several methods of meditation that you can use, so pick the one that you like and practice it every day.

Step Three: Creative Classes

Even though you might not feel like you are a creative person, taking a creative class is important to harnessing your subconscious mind power. There are numerous creative classes that you can take, including art, dance, pottery, or even photography to name a few.

Step Four: Expand Your Knowledge

Spend some time learning more about the subconscious mind and how it works. Knowing as much as you can about subconscious mind power improves your chances of successfully tapping into that power because you will know what you need to do to achieve your goals by reprogramming your subconscious. To learn more about the subconscious mind you can take a course in psychology, read books, or even articles that you find online.

Step Five: Positive Affirmations

Along with meditation, positive affirmations are a great way to tap into the subconscious; they are also a proven method in reprogramming the subconscious mind. Positive affirmations are simple; all you have to do is repeatedly tell yourself positive things. However, you will want to structure what you are saying into a specific format. For example, you want to use "I can" or "I will" statements when talking to yourself because it helps convince yourself that you can achieve your goals. If you tell yourself that repeatedly that you can't do something, chances are you will never accomplish that goal because you believe you will fail.

Step Six: Picture What You Want To Happen

After filling yourself up with positive thoughts you will want to take the time to picture what it is you want to happen. Picturing the results is just as important as telling yourself positive things because it helps you get one-step closer to achieving your dreams.

Step Seven: Review Everything Before Going To Bed

One of the best times to go over everything that you want to remember, especially if it is something that needs to be memorized, is right before you go to sleep. The reason for this is that your subconscious mind is more likely to go over it while you are sleeping, which is an ideal time because your conscious thoughts won't be able to get in the way.

Step Eight: Listen To Your Dreams and Intuition

The final thing you want to do is listen to your dreams and intuition because your subconscious uses them to try to sort out any problems you might be having, but also uses them as a way to warn you of bad things. Listening to your dreams and intuition is another way to make your subconscious mind stronger. You can use this technique the most often, thus the more you use it the stronger your subconscious mind will become.

Quick Tips To Raise Your Low Self Confidence

Learning to Believe in Yourself

Of all the attributes you need in order to succeed, which do you think is the most important? Skills? Of course you need to learn those. Hard work? Definitely a help on the road to success. Luck? While it certainly can play a role, that's really not something you can control. How about connections? Again, certainly helpful but not the most important factor.

Actually, it's none of those.

It's self confidence. As Henry Ford once said, "If you think you can, you're right and if you think you can't, you're right."

What is confidence? It is the belief that we are able to do certain things and do them well. If we believe we can "fit in" in a social situation, we are more likely to do just that. If we believe we can succeed in our work, there's a good chance we will. If we believe that we are a worthy person with good ideas and strong skills, soon we'll inspire others to think the same.

Being confident is not something we're born with; well at least not most of us. It's something we must learn, then practice every day of our lives. We must understand how to gauge our levels of self confidence so we can tell if it is helping or hindering our success. Too little confidence and we fail; too much and we become arrogant.

The first step is to assess your inner feelings. If you feel as though you're constantly being walked on and taken advantage of, or incapable of accomplishing more than you have in life, it's time to learn how to improve your confidence in yourself. Follow these self help tips and you'll be off to good start...

Begin with your appearance. Those who look confident and act confident are perceived as being confident. Dress comfortably, but neatly, and with some style. If you're a jeans and t-shirt person, step up to pressed khakis and polo shirts (or at least invest in better quality jeans and tees). Stand up straight; good posture makes you look positive. Get a haircut, either in a new style or an update of the one you have. Walk with your head up and take longer strides, Avoid looking down; it makes you appear as if you are fearful.

Now you're ready to tackle interactions. Stop mumbling, instead speak clearly and look into the eyes of the person you're talking to. (Hint: if you have trouble maintaining eye contact, look at the bridge of the other person's nose; they'll never know the difference.) Switch from making negative comments to making positive ones, especially when speaking about yourself. Rather than saying "I don't think I can do this" try "This will be a challenge, but I'm ready for it!"

Once you've tried these ways to increase your confidence fast, keep it up. Every morning, look at yourself in the mirror and tell yourself that once again today you will stand tall, dress well, speak up, and insert positive thinking into every conversation. If you do that, you'll become happy with your life and your purpose - before you know it. That's really what self confidence is all about.

Mind Mapping - The Secret To Superior Academic Achievement

The secret to superior academic achievement is not a secret at all; it is looking for strategies and methods in which you can discover your hidden potential and use your mind power to transform it to reality. How we think, behave or perceive things is influenced to our deep interests, opinions and needs. Mapping of the mind (through the laws of attraction theory) makes use of the conscious human mind and then harnesses its power. It can be applied to little kids and adults who want to succeed in their studies especially through brain exercises.

Maps of the mind are those diagrams which represent our words, interests, ideas etc and take the form of a keyword which is helpful in visualizing and countering problems. This key word also helps persons see enormous potential and success in ideas. It also filters inspirations, thoughts and ideas which have been collected.

Mind mapping also leads to enhanced research organization of information from different sources that can be managed in a better manner for projects, meetings, proposals and presentations. The Boeing Aircraft for example has a mind map of 25 feet which is used to train its aeronautical engineers which enables them save 10 million dollars for training. British Petroleum and other big corporations across the world also use mind mapping to improve performance.

Mapping of the mind helps individuals discover their natural strengths and also weaknesses; once they discover and become aware of these, they will obviously live a better life. The aim of mapping your mind is not to increase the levels of output but also to develop a personality that does not have traits that damage or stifle; this causes one to succeed in the life spheres.

To understand mapping of the mind, you must know the behavior of human beings is governed by internal motives which may not always be identified on outside appearance of a person. You must first understand the dynamics which motivate you and match them with the skills and talents that are your mind. This will open the doors for new possibilities in life and make you live a life which is purpose driven.

With regard to superior academic achievement, mapping of your mind is means to an end but not an end in itself. It propels you to move on with life new resolution and dynamism and with confidence in the potential you have discovered recently. You will be able to manipulate events to come out the way you want or in ways which favor you. It will give you motivation and courage to tackle any assignments, examinations, researches and other projects required for success in academics or in leadership.

Can Doing Puzzles Improve Your Mind?

It has long been known that certain mental activities can improve memory and mind power. Just as physical exercise can improve strength, stamina and dexterity, so mental exercises can improve brain power. The brain is a muscle and just like any other muscle in the body, exercise can improve its capabilities.

About a dozen years ago, in my career as a long haul truck driver, I fell out of the back of a trailer and landed on the back of my head on the pavement. I awoke 24 hours later in hospital not knowing how I got there.

What followed was fifteen months of Worker's Compensation and a slow recovery from what turned out to be a severe concussion. At the end of that time I was able to retain my class 1 drivers licence and go back to earning my living as the driver of an 18-wheeler. Most of my recovery can be credited to the fact that just prior to the accident I had acquired a personal computer. Internet was in it's very early stages at that time, but my wife helped me get a dial-up connection and I spent many hours over the ensuing months learning how to use the computer and surfing the internet.

Admittedly much of my computer time was spent in playing games of various kinds, and I especially enjoyed the ones that required me to stretch my memory and creative capabilities. It seems such exercises helped my brain to build new pathways to replace the ones that had been destroyed. I can only think that if such activities can help to rebuild a damaged brain how much more beneficial would they be to help strengthen a healthy brain?

Of course there are thousands of games available nowadays. Facebook is loaded with them, new computers come with some already preloaded, there are numerous gaming platforms with thousands of available titles. The trouble is that many of these games are time wasters. Try to tear your child away from his Wii or PlayStation 2 and you'll realize how addictive they are.

This can be the harmful aspect of games. If they start to replace healthier and more productive aspects of our lives they can present a real problem. However, games that challenge our deductive capacity and the creative side of our brains can really help to exercise the brain muscle and I believe go a long way in prolonging our overall brain health.

6 Mindfulness Exercises

Being mindful is a powerful process that can truly change the way you look at the world. Monks from many different traditions work for years to learn to be mindful all of the time. This is a hard concept for most Western people to even try to understand. But being mindful can help you to feel better and have a different view of the world. There are some easy and simple exercises that you can do to help you be more mindful.

One Minute Breathing - This mindfulness exercise can be done any time of the day as many times as you feel called to do it. All you have to do it check the time and focus on your breathing for one minute. Your mind will try and distract you with other things, but try to just watch your breath for one minute throughout the day.

Mindful Observation - This mindfulness exercise is good to do throughout the day. Pick an object that is within your sight and watch it for one minute. You should not critique, examine, or make comments on the object; just watch it. Observe it for one full minute.

Mindful Listening - This is the same as above, except for one minute you will listen, just listen. This mindfulness exercise is best done outdoors, but it can be done anywhere. Allow your ears to open up and hear the noises around you. Don't try and determine what they are or give them a name; just listen.

Touchstones - For some people a cue for mindfulness is the key to doing the practice. Take something that is going to happen every day, hopefully more than once. For example when you touch a door knob. At that moment when you touch the door knob you allow yourself to be completely mindful of where you are, how you feel, and what you are doing. Cues don't have to be physical; it could be that every time your phone rings you take a mindful moment. It could be that every time you smell food you take a mindful moment. Choose a touchstone that resonates with you.

Regular Routines - Take a regular routine that you don't think about and make it a mindful one. For example when you clean your house pay attention to every detail of cleaning. Be mindful of what you are doing. Watch as you sweep the floor or scrub the toilet. Be hyper aware of what you are doing. This can be done with any activity that you do on a regular basis on auto-pilot.

Five Things - This is another mindfulness practice that can be done several times a day, but it works especially well when you are being triggered by something. All you have to do is notice five things. They could be things you hear, smell, feel on your body, or see. Ideally you will pick at least one from each of the senses, but it doesn't have to be that way. For example you could say; I see the carpet, feel my shirt on my neck, smell the rain coming, taste my morning coffee, and hear my music playing in the background.

Identify Yourself Through The Temperaments

Everybody seems to be enamored with social media and what it offers - connections.

It is this same offering of connections that I feel will interest you into knowing more about yourself and the people that you meet in social media sites.

I recently took an online quiz about the four temperaments - choleric, sanguine, melancholic, and phlegmatic - as I was just curious to know what my temperaments are. I've been intrigued by a teacher friend of mine who uses this gauge to identify what kind of students he has and how he could make his classes more exciting as well as how he could find the best methods in disciplining a child in accordance with his temperaments! And he has around 30 students!

In my musings, I realized that we could more or less identify the people we are connecting with, either through social media sites or face-to-face, through their exhibitions of the different personality traits according to temperament.

Tattoos: Only Skin Deep?

In our ability to create so magnificently, tattooing has become another art permanently ingrained in human history. Needles and ink may be a bit too extreme for some, but the art has become an expression and for most people, permanently marking their skin in beautiful decor often carries symbolic meaning. Although we may not be aware, all of us tattoo ourselves through patterning within our minds the labels we feel we should bare as a way to identify who we are. We may glance in the mirror and think "beautiful" or "painful". Perhaps just words, but labels none the less, of the way we see ourselves. This applies to any term one uses to describe or identify oneself.

Over time, use of a particular word or sets of words, become permanently fixed in the mind. Thinking the same thing over and over and over and over and over... Well, you get the message. Sooner or later, the thought becomes an intricate and fixed pattern in the brain; almost like tattooing the mind. This is wonderful news for those who practice rosy thinking about themselves or their lives, but for most people, the entire concept of self love or self appreciation has been presented as almost blasphemous. The purposeful act of feeling good or singing one's own praises is considered vain; a deadly sin.

How on Earth is anyone supposed to contribute positively to the world, if as individuals, each of us are not 100% behind ourselves? Is it even remotely possible for anyone to spread hope, love or purpose when they themselves have branded themselves hopeless, loveless and purposeless?

Negative mind labelling or tattooing can only beckon dire straights, because from darkness comes more darkness. Over time, the internalised name calling and fervent judgement we sometimes subject ourselves to becomes permanent and when those words become falsely believed "truths", automatically they become reality. It is humanly impossible to live a wonderfully blessed life if you have tattooed in your mind that you are not worthy of such a life. Consciously, sub-consciously and unconsciously, each of us can only ever bring to ourselves what we believe to be truest about ourselves... Until we decide differently.

Thankfully, mind ink doesn't require laser surgery! As with a badly done tattoo, all that need happen is to select a better design and have it redone. Become aware of the badly done tattoos (words and sentiments) in your mind and redo them until you are elated with the new design. The language we use when we talk and think about ourselves, others and life, is way more than just language. Language is a catalogue of tattoo designs that become inked in our minds and those designs influence the way we feel, perceive and ultimately, the way we live.

By using the human ability to learn to cultivate the thoughts we allow to canvas our minds, we are able to understand that with every day dawns the ability to re-think and re-ink!

Enrich Your Mindset Through Positive Thinking

When I was a younger I remembered being in great shape without having to exercise much or watch my diet. I was in pretty good shape. I also remember how life was not as complicated and the stress level was almost non existent.

Fast forward a few years and I now find myself having to exercise regularly, watch my diet, and work on putting some of the stress in "check" before it gets out of hand.

It is accurate to say as time goes by, the environment, the information, and the habits we are exposed to, especially if they are negative, can really affect you in many ways.

So to counter some of the negative influences we need to take action.

If we are not eating healthy and gaining weight then we need to start an exercise program and work on having a better diet. If we are constantly exposed to stress from work, people dumping their problems on us, having bad habits and listening to horrible news in the media then we have to inject positive influences back in and get rid of the negativity.

Start Exercising Your Positive Thinking

To maintain a positive mindset we need to work on exercising positive thinking to prevent the negative influences from overtaking our thoughts. We also need to take control of our negative inner thoughts which tends to surface from time to time.

But is it enough to just read some motivational book and listen to some motivational CD's? Maybe, maybe not, but it is a start. But to really create an impact on your mindset and create some powerful positive thinking you will have to dig deeper.

A Little less than a year ago I read Secrets of the Millionaire Mind book by T. Harv Eker. The book spoke about mastering your inner game. The beliefs we have, whether bad or good, is a direct result of our past experiences as children and of the information that have been ingrained in us.

I really did not get it when I finished reading the book. I just thought it was a good read and it was very motivational.

This is My Moment of A-Ha!

This is what I finally came to understand; it doesn't matter how much positive material I read or how I try to keep a positive mindset if I do not actually address my subconscious beliefs.

So I am going to rewind and explain how I came to finally understand what Mr. Eker wrote in his book about the subconscious mind and having affirmations.

By the way this is also covered in Napoleon Hill's Think and Grow Rich Book. Here is how it all came together for me. I recently joined the Rich Dad education workshop and I was working on the reference materials.

In the materials there is a section that talks about the power your subconscious mind and how it works either for you or against you. Now during this study there are a series of questions to answer.

The questions are based on your childhood experiences and the lessons you learned from your parents, peer, or whoever else had a great influence on you. The questioned are focused on what was ingrained into your subconscious mind during that early part of your life. I was pretty amazed when I began to answer some of the questions with true honesty and really went deep into my memory to answer those questions.

The moral of my story is when there is a blueprint for you to follow from someone who has been through it, FOLLOW IT! It took me to read three books in order to finally understand what the first book was telling me. I did however get great value from all of them. More is always better when it come to great value.

Creating a Leveled Playing Field

It was not only a positive mindset that I needed to have but more like a mind shift. It is not enough just to read motivational materials and work on being positive. If you truly want to have an unstoppable mindset, become nine feet tall, and bullet proof you will have to go deeper.

You have to go into your subconscious mind and start getting rid of those ingrained beliefs that are holding you back.

If you do not address those beliefs then you are fighting a losing battle because your subconscious will always win. Once you get rid of the beliefs that are holding you back you then would have created a leveled playing field. Now that you have created a leveled playing field the process of getting positive information ingrained into your mind becomes more effective.

Keep the Positive Information Fresh Every Day

Considering all the negative information we face each day, we need to flush some of that stuff out and of course keep the positive stuff in.

So how do you get rid of the negative noise in your head? One of the best things to do is to continuously add positive information. Read all the books you can find, listen to all the motivation available, and get around motivated people with a positive mindset. Let some of that energy rub off on you. Then go out and motivated others. Not only will you help someone else you will help strengthen your own beliefs.

Just like an athlete that works his butt off to get ready for the big game we must work our butt off to have a powerful mindset that will shake off any negative influences.

How Do You Back Up Your Beliefs?

Having created that level playing field, now you can continuously inject your mind with countless of positive information and affirmations connected with emotions. Attaching emotions along with your affirmations you will create rock solid beliefs. Once you have those impenetrable beliefs you can set a course in your life to accomplish your goals.

I know my explanation of this process is very general but there are in depth studies in this phenomenon that you could research to get a better understanding of how it works. Now as an MLM entrepreneur looking to build an empire having an unstoppable mindset is powerful. But it is a process that you must work on each and every day.

It is not something you do one month or two and then feel you have acquired the necessary mindset to last you a life time. As we continue to get hit with different experiences in our life time we must continue to adjust and fine tune ourselves.

Get the Necessary Blueprint to Expedite Your Success

Look for the blueprints that have been created by those who went before you and achieved the mindset you are looking for. Keep adding rock solid training and education to expand your beliefs and mindset. Keep exercising your positive thinking with training webinars' or seminars. Get together with a mastermind team to develop creativity in your thought process.

Get you hands on powerful training materials from those who have fine tuned it and have been gracious enough to put a blueprint in place for us to follow. For example, leaders like Mike Dillard who has created an empire and is sharing his methods and strategies on how he did it. All we have to do is have the mindset to follow the blueprint.

There are many other leaders out there that have created empire all because of the mindset they have developed in their area of expertise. It is possible for all us to achieve a level of success if we devote our time to nourish and developed our mindset.

Lucid Dreaming - How To What?

When I first heard the term "Lucid Dreamer or Lucid Dreaming" I actually thought it was someone who talked in their sleep. Well hey, lucid does mean articulate, well spoken and eloquent etc!

How far was I off the mark?

Well at least I got the dreaming part right.

The reason I became involved in this discussion was a close friend who was into yoga, mantra and meditation etc and she had mentioned it and asked me if I knew what it was, you saw my answer above.

Once she began to explain the benefits of a "Lucid Dreamer" or "Lucid Dreaming" I became very interested because I do dream nearly every night without fail.

I began to research comments by Lucid Dreamer experts to improve my understanding.

A question, before beginning to read this article did you know what a Lucid Dreamer was or anything about lucid dreaming? Most probably not, if you do then your one of the lucky ones, well done, for those of you who knew nothing about dreaming experiences, lets see if we can introduce you to some information.

It appears the term "Lucid Dream" was first coined around the late 1800's by a certain Dutch psychiatrist and writer Frederik (Willem) van Eeden (1860-1932).

It appears that a lucid dreamer may actually be able to take an active part and manipulate their dreaming experience within the dream making their lucid dreams appear as a reality and vivid.

Of course I am sure there are many interpretations, but so far from what I have read the above seems to be the basic analysis.

You are probably thinking "What's this really all about". My take on it is this!

I have a few close lucid dreamer friends and one thing they all utilise is lucid dreaming affirmations, they say they are conscious and aware of what is happening and they are in control. Wow! Yes I know it sounds astounding but they swear by it.

I will present some of my own personal experiences in a future article.

For now I would like to introduce you to some fantastic free information on Lucid Dreamer including free Lucid Dreamer videos and how to have a lucid dream every night it will give you an insight into what Lucid Dreams are all about.

So go there now and enjoy and watch the latest videos on Lucid Dreamer for free.

Sweet Dreams.

Developing the Right Mind-Set for Success

Is The Glass "Half Full or Half Empty"? The Power of a Positive Attitude

Turn on the radio or television today, go to the movies, or take a brief look through the Internet and the message is everywhere:

Think positive!
Life is mind over matter!
Your thoughts create your own reality!

Seemingly everywhere, popular culture is advocating the power of positive thinking. Cognitive psychologists, self-help experts, motivational speakers, personal coaches and spiritualists all seem to share the same message: Without a positive attitude, one cannot expect to achieve success.

Similarly, for migrants in Diaspora, it is vital to possess the right attitude. Although migrants may not be able to control what happens in the workplace, in the economy, or in politics, they can control their attitude. And if their attitude is positive, then the battle is already half won--they can begin to create a positive future for themselves.

For some, positive thinking is not an easy task to master. Individuals who have been traumatized or who have experienced lengthy bouts of extreme poverty or hardship will find it difficult to develop the faith and trust needed to maintain a positive attitude. Since many migrants arrive on foreign soil with a background full of trauma and hardship, an optimistic attitude can be difficult to cultivate. Fortunately, positive thinking is something that can be learned. It is a skill that needs to be practiced like any other skill in life, whether one is an immigrant or native. Since it is not something that is naturally inborn to most people, the right mind-set for successful living is something that most people have to work at to develop.

Attitude Strategies

So how can migrants develop the right attitude for success? The following is a list of attitude strategies. Practicing these strategies daily can lead to constructive changes in one's thoughts, emotions and behavior and will help produce positive effects in every area of one's life.

Recognize the Power of Choice

The psychologist Ernst G. Beier once said: "Anyone who learns that he can choose his own feelings and words and actions is a free person and a powerful person." By the same token, when migrants win the battle in their mind, it is only a matter of time before they win the war against problems in Diaspora. Thinking positive thoughts is an action that needs to be repeatedly exercised. Human beings are free agents who can, at any given time of day, choose to think the best about life and its experiences, or the worst. Since thoughts affect both emotions and behavior, choosing to think only constructive thoughts can lead to actions that contribute to a happy and successful life.

Psychological studies have shown that feeling as if one has 'no choice' over anything can lead to a sense of helplessness, depression and despair. Conversely, realizing that one has choice can lead to a sense of empowerment. How can migrants use this to their advantage? By realizing that no matter how difficult the circumstances, they still have choice in many things. For example, migrants can choose to:

Encourage positive thoughts and reject negative ones
Develop gratitude for the ordinary pleasures in daily life
Dwell on the benefits of the host society instead of the faults
See life as an exciting adventure, instead of a series of negative events
View life as ultimately good and all experiences (even those that are painful) as ultimately positive and leading to personal growth
Recognize that life is full of choices, at every moment of the day. What to wear, eat and do, plus whom to associate with are all the result of personal choice-even the fact that one lives in Diaspora is a choice.

Recognizing the choices that exist in life, no matter how small, leads to feeling empowered and combats helplessness. It is important for migrants to search out and recognize choices that they initially didn't realize were there and begin to appreciate them.

Recognize the Rejection Stage of Immigration

When immigrants first move to a new country, they typically go through a number of different emotional stages. These stages are produced by the culture shock that inevitably occurs when they are exposed to the different customs and practices in a new land. Michael Cohn and Lalervo Oberg are both experts on the topic and both have both written about these stages. According to Cohn and Oberg, the first stage is the honeymoon stage, in which the immigrant is excited about the new move and life seems full of promise. During this stage, immigrants are busy getting settled in to their new country, finding employment, housing, a school for the children and various other duties necessary for establishing themselves in their new residence. However, after a few weeks or months, another stage begins to set in: the rejection phase. During this period, culture shock begins to intensify and the immigrant begins to find that life in the host country is more annoying than anticipated. The immigrant experiences problems while attempting to communicate, find transportation, shop for food, or deal with official bureaucracies and protocols in the new country. Everything seems peculiar in the new land, from food to toiletries. Even the implements used to eat with, or the other items that stock a home may seem odd or nonsensical. The discrepancies between the host country and the home country begin to lead to confusion and irritation for the immigrant. Furthermore, the immigrant begins to feel that the natives of the country are insensitive to these problems. As a result, the immigrant begins to criticize things about the host country and becomes hostile toward the native population. They begin to self-segregate, associating only with other immigrants and passing scorn on the host country and its population, rejecting all that once was so exciting at first. Additionally, immigrants may enter into a regression phase, in which they begin to actively idealize everything about the home country. They remember only the good things about the motherland but see only the bad things in the new country-an erroneous delusion created by culture shock.

It is important for migrants to recognize that rejection is a normal stage in the immigration process and negative reactions need to be limited or consciously curbed while going through this stage. Should the immigrant persevere through this negative stage, he or she will eventually enter the final stage of immigration, which is the positive stage of adjustment. Here the immigrant stops criticizing the host culture and begins to feel more comfortable. They become more acclimatized to the novel way of doing things and begin to enjoy themselves. They associate with the natives, learn to communicate more effectively and regain their sense of good will. But in order to reach the adjustment stage, immigrants need to know how to manage the rejection phase first. Maintaining a positive attitude, developing a sense of humor and avoiding self-segregation while actively socializing with the native population are all things that can help the immigrant successfully deal with the rejection phase.

Since the rejection phase is produced by culture shock, it is also important for immigrants to prepare themselves ahead of time-before they emigrate. They need to learn all they can about the destination country's culture, language idioms and bureaucratic systems before they migrate in order to reduce the inevitable pain of culture shock upon arrival.

It is especially important for migrants going through the rejection stage to remember to take responsibility for any misconceptions and delusions they may have had about living in Diaspora. If not brought to awareness, these misconceptions can create negative emotions and self-sabotaging behaviors that can hinder success. For example, if a migrant feels irritated, bitter and disillusioned, and consequently begins to behave in an aggressive or unfriendly manner toward natives, then natives will respond similarly back. Life has a tendency to reflect back what one projects, so if one projects resentment and hostility outward, that is usually what will be returned. The returned hostility from the natives then is taken to be "objective proof" that confirms the immigrant's erroneous assumptions that the host country is unfriendly and unsympathetic. As a result, a self-perpetuating cycle is set up as hostility begets further hostility. Migrants need to be aware of this cycle and need to strive to maintain an attitude of friendliness and curiosity toward the host country and its population.
